1.5 Million Programs: Happy Trainees Enjoy Flexible Learning Hours with "Learn Anytime" Approach

Phnom Penh, 18th July 2024 – Participants of the "Vocational and Technical Training Program" are delighted with the Royal Government's training courses that offer flexible learning hours, accommodating both day and night shifts, including weekends.

Mr. Det Udom, a night shift participant studying computer graphics at the National Technical Training Institute (NTTI), praised the government for providing such flexible study hours. He emphasized that this flexibility is crucial for young people who work during the day and can only attend classes at night.

"The Ministry and the school have managed the timings excellently. The flexible hours allow those busy during the day, like me, to work and still find time to attend school," he said.

Ms. Yang Bai, a night shift trainer specializing in computer graphics at NTTI, echoed similar sentiments. She highlighted that night shifts provide an opportunity to balance work and learning.

"Working during the day and attending classes in the evening allows for skill enhancement without compromising daytime commitments. NTTI offers numerous classes, including shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, accommodating various schedules," she explained.

The trainees encouraged other young people, particularly those engaged in business or other day jobs, to enroll in these technical courses due to their flexible study times.

The 1.5 Million People Training Program includes seven shifts: five shifts from Monday to Friday, and two more shifts on weekends. The weekday shifts include full-day, morning and evening shifts, and separate morning or afternoon shifts. Evening classes are available in either three-hour or two-hour segments. The weekend shifts include a Saturday-Sunday shift and a Sunday-only shift.
